Dd had the pink leapster. She was on it it on and off for a couple of hours and then the batteries went. Is that normal ??

I know you can get the adaptor for it, but I really wanted it for car journeys etc.

Did the batteries come with it? We've sometimes bought toys that have said that the batteries supplied are less than usual strength, just to let you try it out.

Nope we put brand new batteries in it.

It was fine and then started to switch itself off, and when we looked the batery light would flash just before it went off.

Depends what batteries, we used panasonic (5 packs for £5 in debs) so far they have lasted almost continuos for 2 days. I use a lot of rechargables at home and they are quite good.
Very cheap batteries are usually quick to go

We bought rechargeables & DD has had it on for a couple of hours every day since Xmas & it's fine.
