MP3 players for younger children - what do you think?

DS (6) is mad about music. He is always playing CDs at home & in the car and I know he would love an MP3 player of some sort for Christmas. Am wondering though if he is too young...does anyone know of an MP3 player that would be quite child friendly? I'd love some recommendations please, thanks

The refurb ones are brilliant value, they're really easy to use (DS and I each have one) and they have an SD card slot so you can, for eg, buy a 2gb player and put an 8gb card in, giving you 10gb to fill with music, photos, story CDs, etc. My DS listens on long car journeys, and finds the in-ear buds comfy, but you can always get child-sized headphones as well.

Recommend!
