MP3 player - i-pod shuffle and audio book advice

We are a Mac family and DD has asked for an MP3 player to listen to audiobooks mostly. She's about to be 8. i-pod shuffle is £39 which is less than I though it would be. Anyone got one - it can store 500 songs but is that too small for books? Basically she'd want Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter on a continual loop.

I've just looked at my HP audio and they are just under 4gb for all 7 books.

As long as you have the settings done so it plays continuous and not on shuffle, she'll be fine!
