No this is true about he waterproofing I omce skimped on it and waved goodbye to the watch as I went swimming

Twinkie - you got off lightly - last time I had my watch battery changed and re-sealed it cost me £50.!!!

And the watch only cost about £120 new. I had it done though, as it was a present long ago from dh, before he was dh.

It really depends on the make of watch. Mine costs £35 to have the battery changed (it's a Tag & has to be sent back to the factory). If it's not done properly then it's not guaranteed. So if it's an expensive watch then no, you weren't ripped off IYSWIM

I think that's right - it depends upon the make of the watch. If you have an expensive make of watch like Gucci for instance, then the cost of all the parts are over-inflated.
