Hi,

Have just started a cold (great timing) so have bought and juststarted using First Defence.

Has anyone tried it and believed it's helped them? If so, how long didi you think it took to work?

Thanks,

BL

I have never used it but my brother is using it now and seems to think its helping him.

I know he said it certainly helped to clear his head, makes your nose runny, so make sure you have a few tissues handy

Day 2 now and not feeling too bad but the cold's still well and truely there and I'm really bunged up.

The only problem with it that I've found so far is it makes me sneeze so I don't know if any of it stays put IYKWIM!

There's no way of knowing, of course, how I'd be feeling today if I hadn't used it, so I've no idea if it's working or not!

My dh used it and his cold didn't come out. I used it (too late) once my cold had come out, but it did shorten the length of time I expected it to last.

It's described as a "nasal wash" so I assume that it's supposed to make your nose run! I don't know about you, but I felt lousy for about 10 mins after I did the stuff, but then felt OK.

Well, it's day 3 and I'm feeling almost fine, I just have a bit of a cough, so I think it may have worked!!

I'd certainly recommend others try it, especially if a cold strikes just before some important event. For £6.99 there's not much to lose!

aren't colds usually 3 days anyway?

BellaLasagne · 22/12/2005 15:52

Mine usually last at least a week, so this was definitely shorter.

I am on day 3 of a cold and staryting to feel much better, Forst 2 days I hurt and ached and wanted to just curl up and go to bed - couldn't as was working. Today I had a long lie in and got up at 10:30 with Dh taking DD to nursery at 8am. Have since cleaned house top to bottom, but taking my time and I am feeling much better. Hoping it will be gone in a day or two.

My nana always says that a cold is 3 days coming, 3 days here and 3 days going.

Have you seen the ad for it - where the mumy throws a tantrum in the supermarket - excellent !
