I got mine from asda for under £10.00 and it's fabulous, it has an alarm that goes off when it has been stood without use for a certain length of time and it automatically cuts out after about 5 mins. Also, if it has been laid flat for more than 30seconds, the alarm goes off and it cuts out.

I was thinking of looking at asda mrsbubs, thanks.

Mine died last week. It was six or seven years old and for the last few years it's been a bit crap.

I bought a Bosch one from Tesco. It was £40 but it's really good. The steam mechanism is so powerful it makes ironing much easier.

Don't actually mind ironing now I have a bit of kit that works

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 20/12/2005 20:12

Morphy Richards do very good irons too.

myturn · 20/12/2005 20:16

I have this one . A bit pricey but very good.

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 20/12/2005 20:16

ooo - "snap" myturn - that's the iron I currently have too

myturn · 20/12/2005 20:17

It 'almost' makes ironing bearable...

Mine was a present from dh. How sad is that??

daisy1999 · 20/12/2005 21:15

thanks so much. dh joked (at least he better have been joking ) that I should wait to see what santa brings!!!

Oooh just read rest of thread before posting and mine cost £117

daisy1999 · 20/12/2005 21:22
