Ants in my Pants ... seriously!

Life in tropical north Queensland is revealing itself in a variety of ways not least the multitude of tiny ants that invade our house on a daily basis. They find tiny juice splashes that missed being mopped, crumbs that didn't get swept up, they invade my friend's iron of all places but the most disturbing is the invasion of my knickers in our laundry bag (not dh's, no ants at all in either ds laundry bag) - they are actually making holes in them - what can I do? Are there products I can use to prevent/kill them safely with the boys around?

I s'pose it's better the eeny tiny black ones than the great big green ones that you get outside and that it's dirty knickers rather than clean ones so they all die in the washing machine but it's more that I would really like to stop them in the first place - it's a visual thing!

We love our geckos - we have names for them now; they eat the flies. We're in Townsville. The ants come through the walls of our house so blocking up their entry points is an insurmountable task.

I would either soak your knickers, depending on when you're washing them, or put them (dry) into a box with a lid.
