Maternity coat?

I need a coat to keep me and the bump warm over the next 4 months, and then just me warm until summer!

None of my coats do up over the bump already (23 weeks) and I haven't found any coats through the usual channels, Blooming Marvellous, JMB, etc.

I want more than the usual sweat top/jumper - more a parka type anorak and don't want to buy a 'regular' coat in a larger size as it would make me look huge.

Any suggestions?

NOt sure where to buy from, but could you get a "swing" coat - do you know the ones I mean? There'd be plenty of room then!

Moomim is right. I got one from an outlet shop when pg with DS and it did me through until birth and I have worn it both winters since and it is still in good nick for covering my bump this winter. Its an American size 8 so not huge. Its a grey wool blend, very warm and cost £80 (half price) which to me is a lot but considering it still looks great starting its fourth winter I'm happy.

Have you looked at an outlet place?

Also have a friend due Jan and she is just going to wear her regular coat with a huge scarf.

Sorry meant to say Moomim is right about a wing coat. Thats what my coat is. It hangs from the shoulders.

A swing coat, that is.

Have you had a look at \linkwww.formes.com/Formes{}? It's a French designer range and even if it's not your taste, you can play tune on the website with your mouse on the menu - very funky!! Turn the volume down on your computer if you're at work!

Sorry, that's Formes
Why do I never preview?

I bought a mansize black fleece from Millets. Not very glam, I know, but I didn't want to spend much on something I wasn't going to wear for long, but I didn't want anything cheap that would let in the cold.
