Need to get some. Choices of shops here are:
Next
BHS
M+S
Paperchase
WH Smith's
Sainsbury's
Monsoon

That's about it. Are any of them any good?
Particularly interested in any that'd be good for an under-3 as we will have a couple of those for Xmas dinner. As in guests, not turkey substitutes.

thanks very much

PruniStuffing · 14/12/2005 15:02

Jigsaw
Whistles
Koh Samui
Harvey Nichols food hall

Is that the sort of thing you mean, Suzy? Sorry. Won't happen again.

Glitterygook · 14/12/2005 15:03

Ooh, none, thanks for reminding me!

BonyBethleheM · 14/12/2005 15:03

Have you got a Boots? All their crackers are 1/2 price atm and I got some lovely ones yesterday.

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 15:04

we do have a "British Shop" tucked away in a some god awful shopping mall. You can get frazzles and Tesco's salad cream in a squeezy bottle, should you so wish

spruceylucy5 · 14/12/2005 15:05

I have access to M +S, BHS, Next and Morrisons in Gibraltar. {runs away from suzy's missles very quickly}

AAh I thought it might be Gallah poo!

PruniStuffing · 14/12/2005 15:12

[puke] at frazzles and salad cream.
But you do get gorgeous fresh fruit and veg in abundance and great seafood and beaches and proper sunshine and half-way decent beer and coral reefs and stunning scenery....

Will try Boots - just want to avoid the mini-picture-frame and sewing-set kind of cracker.

Where does one get make-yr-own kits?

seriously though any recommendations?

sevensuzyswongsaswimming · 14/12/2005 15:15

tbh the apples are not a patch on a Cox or a Braeburn and it was an overcast 22 degrees today, not at all what they promised me in the brochure when I signed on

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 14/12/2005 15:24

Sprout Racing from Waitrose but I think they're by Hallmark.

Jbck · 14/12/2005 15:59

DIY kits at ELC, The Works, Tesco (I think), Boots.

wewishyouaClaryChristmas · 14/12/2005 16:23

I got some from Asda which just had a hat, motto and a sticker - ideal for the kids and better than all the plastic crap/posh "luxury" gifts you also don't want.
6 in a pack for £3 or so, had to buy 2 packs as dd insisted on princess ones, so got Winnie the Pooh for the boys (only other option....)

Misspiggy · 14/12/2005 16:33

We bought Next crackers this year as they've got a good mix of toys for the kids and ok - ish gadgety things for the adults and they weren't too hideously expensive.

expatinscotland · 14/12/2005 16:57

We have the fill your own ones from Lakeland.

expatinscotland · 14/12/2005 16:57

I'm going to put a syringe of breast milk in our newborn's.

hana · 14/12/2005 16:59

why can't someone make crackers with something half decent, like a chocolate ?!?!

expatinscotland · 14/12/2005 17:05

we're putting a bailey's miniature in ours! and a homemade truffle.

REINDEERPOOtlepod · 14/12/2005 17:06

You could always buy cheap crackers and take the present out and then put your own in!

MarsyChristmas · 14/12/2005 17:16

Really cheap ones from Costco. 50 for £8.99

We only care about the hat and the sad joke!
