US Baby Bedding - fit UK cot beds?

Does anyone know if US baby bedding will fit a UK cot bed? It seems the standard American crib mattress is slightly shorter than a mattress for a UK cot bed. I am hoping there is a bit of give in the US fitted sheet to make it work.

Hi, I've had loads of bedding from the US (their sheeting is so much nicer!) and it's always fitted our daughters' cot bed and single bed just fine. Happy shopping!
