I've almost certainly decided to buy this coat for my ds1. It's very posh and over budget but I think, as it's Boden, it should also do for ds2 and ds3.

Unless you have a better idea. If there are no better ideas by 10 o'clock I will buy it.

Why do you want to spend £50 though if you know its over budget? There are fab ones much cheaper that would still do as hand-me-downs!

12 minutes to go. I'm getting nervous now.
Anyone bought a boy's coat lately?

boden coats do last. i bought one 2nd hand for dd1, its now being passed to mieows dd2 for this winter, then hopefully back for my dd3. (my dd2 is too big for it)

IME sackache, and maybe my kids are particularly rough on their clothes, the others don't last. Boden stuff lasts years. It really is that much better.

Also Grandad has given me £50 to spend on the kids for christmas so I thought I'd make the coat from him.

also check out ebay to see what u can get for it if u want to sell it on afterwards, i could sell dd1 pink duffle coat(boden) and get over 20pounds for it.

SackAche · 12/12/2005 21:56

Spidermama - In that case.... just go for it! Its a treat.... a bit of extrvegance that is practical too.

Mincepiedermama · 12/12/2005 21:59

I've had a quick look at ebay and there's nothing to write home about atm midsee. I buy lots of kids stuff on ebay though.

Two minutes to go. I reckon that Boden coat's a-comin'.

Yipeeeee!

Just saw this and maybe too late, but got ds1 a similar coat out of Zara for £35, detachable body warmer etc. He loves it. he's 5 but coat is 6-7

christmaslovingbluealien · 12/12/2005 22:06

well, you may have bought it alreadym, but dd's boden coat, two months old, has had the zip on it go.
also isnt there sale startingi n like three days?

Mincepiedermama · 12/12/2005 23:10

Doh!

Ah well. I did it. I've bought it. It was as if I heard voices from the coat itself. (Thanks bodencoat .

It's done now so I'll just make the decision to not think about it very much.
