Can anyone help me to find an old fashioned nightgown that ties at the bottom for new born babies, my daughter got one last year as a present from a friend of mine and we could not wait to hear her reaction to it but she loved it and thought it was the best thing she had got ( slap in the face to us for trying to make fun of her ) her friend is not due her baby in December and would like to get her one as well

John Lewis. Gap have them too, but double the price (JL is £10 I think).

Kooshies make one, they sell them in a shop in Fulham (Munster Road) whose name escapes me, maybe Babyworld?. Dd had a lovely stripey one.

Our Gap do them but not all the time - it is very hit and miss with the stock. You could ask at the counter though and they might be able to order some for you.

Thanks, I had a look at John Lewis and Gap ( can't find one in Gap ) also in Kooshies. I live in Northern Ireland and don't have John Lewis or Kooshies so the question is does anyone know where one can be bought on the internet

they are great, mine didnt wear anything else for the first 3 weeks, very easy to change nappies in the middle of the night.

but don't know where you get them from, mine are all family handmedowns

suedonim · 21/10/2003 20:35

I'm not sure if these are the same thing as you're looking for? They're available mail order.

My mum got me one from Baby Boden - but that was 3 years ago.

I've just bought a new one from Green Baby www.greenbaby.co.uk, for a tenner for my newborn. They do mail order. Plain natural coloured organic cotton only and are lovely and soft. Used them for no.1 all the time at night until he was 6 mths old. Highly reccomended for night time changes.

Got one for £4 in the Gap sale a week before ds arrived and kicked myself that I didn't get 2 or 3. Got another 2 from Green Baby which are a bit boring but do the trick. They are fantastic as there are no poppers to do up at 3am when you are half comatosed.

NottsMum · 28/07/2004 13:35

Green Baby is currently doing a 3 for 2 on nightgowns - 3 for £19.98 + £3.99 postage.

(ps jamie cullum's modelling some of the adult t-shirts cos I think gossypium is owned by a member of his family)

chonky · 28/07/2004 13:43
