I bought one from ELC last month for £40, they are now reduced to £26. Should I take mine back and ask if they would refund the difference? Would they? Should they?

Or do I put it down to bad timing on my part?

I would take it back - they might give you vouchers if you haven't got the receipt. Then just buy it again. They can't stop you.

I think you should be fine taking it back, but that it will look a bit cheeky if you take the £40 one back, and buy the £26 one in the same transaction! On their website they make a big thing about "no quibble" returns, so they should accept it back. In your position I would return the £40 one, get the refund, then get your DH to buy a £26 pound one, or buy a £26 pound one at another ELC or when different staff are on!!!

I think if you have a receipt they may offer a full refund. If you don't have a receipt they may just offer the amount it is selling for now.

I think I will take it back and re-buy it at the lower price.
