Small, 4 door car recommendations please?

I'm looking for a nearly new four door, small, low cost (in terms of tax etc) car but don't have a clue where to start and would love to recommendations. I quite like the look of Peugeots but am open to anything. Budget around £7k. TIA.

Check out the VW Polo, I've been really pleased with mine!

What about a Skoda Fabia?
Skoda get loads of awards for reliability and value and the Fabia is a fab small car. Built by VW but much cheaper.

Thanks, will have a look at both. Wasn't looking at anything VW as a girlfriend has had such problems with her Golf, but will look at Polo now.

It says the new Kia Picanto is the best, which starts from £7,500, so nearly in your budget, and it has a 7 year warranty!

I had a VW Polo on loan once. Had to take the parcel shelf out to get a stroller pushchair in the boot. And that filled it up! Absolutely tiny.
