Which type of buggy board should I get?

DD1 just turned 3 and dd2 is 2 months old.

DD1 doesn't walk reliably well. I think I need a buggy board.

Are there different types? I currently use a 2-in-1 type pram/pushchair. It would be nice to get one to fir on this. Come Spring, I will be using a Maclaren pushchair and hope to get a 3-wheeler for non-shopping walks.

Will one type of buggy board fit all types of pushcair? I am confused. Please advise.

Depends on the support at the rear - fixed axle usually requires a kiddyboard (you can buy a bar if brake is in the way), umbrella fold and non- fixed axle a buggyboard. Have seen three wheelers with either.

You can also get extending arms, and additional attachements for the uprights so that you can swap the board from pram to pram. There is a company called (I think) Cheeky Little Rascals that offers good telephone advice on such things.

Excuse me, Cheeky Rascals is the name, and their number is 0870 8732 600.

Have a look at manufacturer(Lascal)'s website here . There are details of which is compatible with what type of pram/pushchair/buggy. UK official distributor is Cheeky Rascals .

I bought a little rascals buggy board a couple of months ago when i was out shopping with baby DD and DS who decided he wasn't gonna walk any longer. It attached to the umbrella stroller that i was using at the time and i now have it attached to my Bebe Confort Loola pram. Heres the one i got buggy board . I assume it attaches to most pushchairs/prams as it attaches onto the two vertical bars at the back. To change the buggy board from one pram to another you need 2 extra pieces of the special sand paper stuff (which stops the attachements from sliding down) and two plastic strips which you have to cut to size (they actually go around the bars and then clip into another plastic bit). Hope this helps!

I have used the same one on the link below on a 3wheeler and a techno xt with no prob.s We have two fixing kits and swap it between the two as and when we need it. dd1 was 3 when dd2 was born don't use it so much now, but def worth the money we spent ( about £50 with the fixing kits from JL)

This thread is great as we are thinking of getting one too, however, my pram has one single bar as the handle, how will ds stand without this getting in the way, do they extend out far enough to clear this? and if yes, how do I then push the pushchair? (we have a Graco travel system, an older version of the Quattro) TIA

PS. Haven't read the Lascal link yet...
