It seems that someone at Jamie Oliver's publishing company sent a word document version of his 2nd book to one of their mates this morning. Unfortunately for the poor sap who sent the word document, it is now flying around the web at a rate of knots. So print what you like AND please spare a thought for the poor bugger that originally sent it, while enjoying the food you make from the recipes!!!
The deal of the day - Jamie Oliver's latest cook book. RRP £20 at most participating book stores. Yours for nothing! Enjoy & Pass it on

Can't link to it but anyone who wants a copy and knows my email address pls feel free to request!

Wierd

hasn't this happened with every single book he has published since the first one? I've certainly had a couple pre-publication.

SilentBite · 09/12/2005 13:25

No idea, first one I've had

SilentBite - I received an email like that for his last book (must have been about three years ago). In the end it turns out that the recipes aren't the ones from his new book at all. But I might be wrong - it was so long ago that I have forgotten.

yoyo · 09/12/2005 13:27

It isn't very good though.

skerriesmum · 09/12/2005 13:27

This is a spoof... someone went to the trouble of collecting his previously published recipes and putting them all into Word... so it's not really detrimental to Jamie's empire! The recipes are real though, so enjoy!

SilentBite · 09/12/2005 13:28

in what way is it not good? Never bought one of his cookbooks tbh so no idea

Oh right, well I don't care tbh because I don't have any of his recipes anyway!

don't bother buying his books - I never thought they were all that to be honest. I bought one and wasn't impressed.

MascaraOHara · 09/12/2005 13:29

Yes I had one of those emails a few years ago. Some nice receipes too if I remember rightly.

MoggyMummy · 09/12/2005 13:31

Poncey recipes using terms like 'smashed' and 'torn'

skerriesmum · 09/12/2005 13:31

He has some good ideas, especially if you like baking your own bread, but I printed this out for a friend and only made one or two recipes out of it.

yoyo · 09/12/2005 13:39

Is this the one with "yield", "difficulty rating", etc at the end of each recipe? I seem to have seen the majority of them before so maybe skerriesmum is right. Some of his recipes are okay but they are most certainly not reliable. I have less than fond memories of his chocolate cake and some biscuits but his chilli and kedgeree are great.

SilentBite · 09/12/2005 13:55

Yes is called Naked Chef 2 and has all that yield stuff
