I said don't laugh now!

Leaflet came through my door today with a scratchcard part to it. So I scratched it and it says I've won 2 weeks holiday for life with Seasons holidays.Looks genuine but then again I'm naive....

Should I buy a sun hat or chuck it in the bin???

everyone's a winner with those kind of cards ... sorry ... bin it, it won't be free and you'll have to endure the hard sell about timeshare and/or spend half of your holiday looking at villas - the kids would love that

misdee · 08/12/2005 21:29

if its too good to be true, then it probbaly ia too good to be true

bin it

wewishyouamerryKITTYmas · 08/12/2005 21:31

before you bin - they do make you sit through a hard sell, but there usually IS a free holiday. thye catch is they give you about a week's notice and it's unlikely to be in school hols. if you can do that, might be worth sitting though a hard sell?

Skrimble · 08/12/2005 22:35

I got 2 of those cards through today 1 is a winner one isn't. Been there done that, we thought we could play the game and get the holiday.
Not a chance we sat through the sales pitch, and ended up with a weekend break that we had to pay allsorts of admin fees for. Never took the holiday.

Skrimble · 08/12/2005 22:36

Don't let linda robson fool you .

Skrimble · 08/12/2005 22:41

Thought I would read it.
I have won a 2 week holiday for life.
It will cost me £332 a week maintenance fee.
It does not include travel to and from villa/ apartment.

The holiday vouchers might be worth claiming if they exist. have a look at there website it might give more resrictions.

No no no noooo. One of my mates used to meet the 'stooopids' off the plane. Don't go. They subject you to a load of hardsell.

On the upside, my father, who is mean with his chequebook and rather elderly, was in Portugal on the first day of his holiday.

This lovely young lady offered my Dad & SMother a trip around the resort if they came with her.

Result - Dad & SM got a meal paid for by the people, a trip round the resort and right at the end my father said. Sorry I havent got any money.

He did say that they had a very pleasant afternoon. I PMSL. I know my Dad, not easy.

UCM · 08/12/2005 23:00

Oh sorry, I forgot to say that they were treated to a look at some new apartments which were for the elderley. My SM said to me 'Oh they were lovely, but the money they want, it's everything we have.

These people are very clever, but so is my Dad, My SM found it embarrassing as my dad knew he was up for a hard sell and went with it for the meal & tour.
