Have just stood on my Kindle!

Have turned it on and the screen is completely knackered. not cracked (not sure how with my full weight on it!)

Will they send me a new one? for free if I lie and say I don't know how it happened

i just bought a load of new books for it

Well don't buy one from currys as they won't replace them, even if you haven't sat on it.

My screen was buggered (same as my son's which amazon replaced within 1 day) Currys say it was impact damage (not sure how as it was sitting on my bedside table) and now I'm left with a useless kindle

Don't bother with Currys go to the amazon site to the help bit . Get Amazon to phone you. If its within warrenty they will replace it the same as if you bought it from them direct.

minsmum - funnily enough I've just contacted amazon - they're sending me a new one

I love my kindle - it's like a third child
