bugaboo advice please

My little sister is due to have her first baby in march -my parents are buying her and her dp the pram.

The number 1 favourite is the bugaboo the only thing that there unsure of is wether the seat will hold a 2 1/2 yr old comfortably?

hi i have the original bugaboo, not the frog bought from the netherlands. i am using it with a 2.8 yo at the minute and he still fits in it although he is small for his age. i do know however that the new cameleon has a bigger seat. i had a look at them when i was in the netherlands earlier this year. tbh if it was me i'm not sure i would go for the bug again. would probably rather have a jane/mountain buggy 3 wheeler. didn't find the 2 wheels very good on the beach as when in 2 wheel mode it gets heavy after a while and is hard to get the baby in out unless you have someone to hold it. when you reverse the handle for all terrain with the small wheels to the back, i found they got clogged with muck/leaves etc. the wheels have been changed though on the frog/cameleon so maybe this wouldn't happen now? otoh the buggy bag is lovely and warm and still fits with toddler. anything else you'd like to know just shout. hth
