Remington ones are meant to be good. I have some, but haven't tried them yet - lol! Look on ciao.co.uk for opinions about them.

I've got the Remington Ceramic ones can't remember how much they were. these are my second pair but I've a terrible habit of winding the cord round when I'm finished & it ends up breaking the wire inside. They are good though, just don't wind them up.

hi kodo hair straightners are really good. exactly the same as ghd's. my friend has a pair and they are as good as ghd but only a bit cheaper. i think she paid about £85. i was going to get these but hairdressesrs had sold out and so paid too much for my ghd's! just checked ebay and they have new ones for about £35 and used ones for about £10. sorry can't do links but if you type 'kodo straightners' into the search it should bring them up. hth.

My remington ones are fab. Think they are about 30 now or less. Get them in Boots this week and you'll get about £3 back in points on your card too as its triple points. They heat up really quickly and do the job well. I've used mine every day (cannot live without them) for 2 years now and they still work perfectly.

What about the wet to straight ones? Are they any good? Sometimes haven't got time on a morning to blow dry and then straighten.

I just bought Remingtom Ceramic Slim Straightener from Boots £24.99 reduced to £16.66!
