I used to have a lovely rotary one with a mother of pearl face but I lost if and they don't do them any more.

dh is offering to get me one for Christmas and it is always best to avoid him getting me a surprise.

FKUMG - that you very much for the links. I really like the second one in particular. The only thing I don't like is that I would prefer a leather strap - bit fussy I know!

But have shown that piccie to dh so that he knows what kind of thing I would like. Stil searching, though. Ideally I would like to be able to give him a precise model (or even serial number and place of purchase!) just to be safe.

MCP - (great initials btw) I'm never quite sure how to find anything nice on ebay. I buy specific things there because I know exactly what I am looking for, but "watch" doesn't seem likely to get me very far. Any tips gratefully received.

Wow - that last one is the nastiest watch I have ever seen.

Am seriously tempted to tell dh that's the one I want (just the model number and where to get it) and see whether he actually buys it.
