Burberry stockist on line or near Dundee

Have just bought my daugher a Burberry dress for Christmas, this one ,have to keep explaining to everyone that it is really nice Burberry not brown check. But now I need tights, either the matching check ones or similar ones and I have no idea who sells their stuff locally for children and can't seem to find any on-line or ebay.

1980cat - Obvioulsy its individual taste..... but I'd say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to check tights with that dress! How about plain lilac??? That would be lovely IMHO.

laughinglil · 06/12/2005 12:53

i would put my dd in plain cream/ivory tights with that dress. that would look lovely

FimbleBellsFIMBOAllTheWay · 06/12/2005 12:53

Sorry but I agree with Sackache - lilac tights would be much nicer. As an exDundonian the only designer childrens clothes shop I can think of is SMARTY PANTS . Nailpolish lives near Dundee so she might be able to come up with other suggestions.

if you do want burberry stuff go to
www.peppermint.co.uk
or
www.kidscavern.co.uk
or ebay
i think these are the only uk stockists of burberry online.

welshboris · 06/12/2005 12:54

No to the tights, please

laughinglil · 06/12/2005 12:59

i think the dress with the tights would be far too much tbh, dress it plain and it will look lovely. However if you do the stores listed below may have it.
these are the tights that match the dress I don't think they go though.

yes try smarty pants in the Ferry, if you really really want them

but i would have plain lilac

or even This Little Piggy in the Ferry too, the shoe shop

you could try the new Zara (where the old Arnotts used to be) they have nice girls stuff

I've tried it with the plain lialic tights she has and they are a different shade and don't look that good. The dress is almost a redish purple and all the lilac tights I find tend to be bluish,(sorry I'm being really picky here). I've seen burberry ones the same colour but only being sold as a set they weren't as obvious a check pattern. Idealy would really like planish cream or liliac ones from the same range but not sure if they do them. This is possibly me just being lazy and not wanting to walk all over town with the dress tring to find some.
Zara's kids stuff is lovely going there this afternoon to get some plain tops for dd as she has suddenly seemed to have outgrown all hers.

I would just go for a pair of thick cream tights though! cheap if they get laddered or ripped!

1980cat · 06/12/2005 14:06

It's more lilac with a dark red check. The rib tights look alright but would prefer them with lilac writing on them. (I really should stop being so fussy)
