The grater part of my well used, much loved Ikea cheese grater has disappeared ( I suspect dh has accidently chucked it out with the rubbish ). How will I manage until I can get to Ikea again in the new year???

Go to Ikea earlier?

Oh the joys of living 10 mintues away from one

XmasPud · 05/12/2005 13:58

Go to Ikea at 9.45pm - always fairly empty at this time and can manage a quick 15 mins dash before closing (

morningpaper · 05/12/2005 13:59

there's one on Ebay!

I'm SOoooooo boring.

merryTissmas · 05/12/2005 13:59

daisy1999 · 05/12/2005 14:11

I've got to go there to return some stuff. I can send you one at cost + P&P if you like

I get there at 9:30 for 30 minutes of free coffee and read a book til they let you into the store

daisy1999 · 05/12/2005 14:17

DoesntChristmasDragOn - Thank you that's kind of you. If you see one that would be grate (excuse the pun!). Don't go to any trouble though it can be hell in those places if it's busy. Do I need to cat you (never done that before)?

Do you have any colour preference/hate? As I said,I have to go anyway and I rarely need an excuse to wander round...

daisy1999 · 05/12/2005 14:27

I prefer neutral given a choice but any would do. I'll try and email you now.

i LOVE that ikea as well

tho surely you can go to the £shop and get a normal metal grater for a £ in the mean time!

daisy1999 · 06/12/2005 11:04

nanny - have done that but cheese all over the kitchen!!!! I love the way my Ikeas one catches all the cheese, doesn't slip, and I can keep the grated cheese in it.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 06/12/2005 11:45

Yes, that is really my email address

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 06/12/2005 11:47

I got your grater but they only had them in black and red sets so not very neutral! Still, you can always put the grater bit onto your old box I guess

(no email yet)

daisy1999 · 06/12/2005 13:02

have emailed my address to you sd.
£25 eh - sounds fine [gullible emotion]

daisy1999 · 08/12/2005 22:08

SD did you get the email with my address? Not sure why the first email was delayed in getting through.

OP posts:
DoesntChristmasDragOn · 09/12/2005 10:57

Yes - the grater went 2nd class this morning.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 09/12/2005 10:57

daisy1999 · 09/12/2005 12:32

thanks so much. You're not lax at all, wonderful service.
Email me with your address and how much I owe you and I'll send the cheque off.
Thanks

What are you doing here? You should be grating! Or out buying more cheese because you've grated it all.

daisy1999 · 13/12/2005 16:22
