Why are there so many to choose from?!! I thought it would be nice to get one for dd's 2nd birthday but there are thousands! My friend (hi Bexi!)has a fantastic winnie the pooh one but I can't find it anywhere, she had it bought as a present last year and thought it was from ELC - but I can't find it on website, anyone know where I can get hold of one?

Other than that has anyone got recommendations for any other one?

Thanks in advance....

Hi Lizzer, have you tried Toys R Us website?

We've got the ELC little house from years ago, which hides mainly toys and fluffy animals, and the recent La Redoute pop up tent, which is smaller than what you want I think. But it was free!

Hi Lizzer, I got a free pop up tent from Vertbaudet, it was mentioned in a thread about that catalogue very recently. Not very big but big enough for ds (18 months) but I've found it impossible to fold back up again (probably just me being thick!).

My DD has the pop-up tent from ELC. It's nice and roomy but, as Jodee says, what a struggle to fold it back up! I have to wait until it's asleep and then leap on it and wrestle it back into the bag. ;-)

I got a free one from Verbedaut and one for the beach from Argos. The one for the beach keeps the sun off and I sat in there with my son and feed him, curled up and went to sleep with him and Im not small.

I got a pop up ball pit for my DS from Argos. DH and me have great fun having ball-fights. Don't know if kids play with it much though!

Gah! I have just seem what I thought was the Autumn/winter Argos and saw the Winnie the Pooh tent in there - BUT it's the Spring/ summer one and out of date so pleeeeease has anyone got a copy of the new one to hand (don't have store that nearby) to see if it's in there, sorry I know I'm being a pain. I just hope they still make it cos it's brill!

Thanks for all your ideas, I'm thinking I should take up weight-lifting if I am going to be able to fold the thing back up and STOP rubbing it in about the FREE verbaudet one (joke!)

Lizzer, just looked in latest GLTC catalogue (10% discount for Mumsnetters!) and they've got a pop up High Street.

Also got a catalogue from Studio and they've got a sale on, quite a lot of tents to choose from in there (no Winnie the Pooh though). www.24studio.co.uk (quote order code 053). I'll be honest, I'm not ordering from them myself this year as they messed up my order last Christmas, but maybe they have bucked their ideas up now.

Looked in Argos catalogue today, very quickly, they didnt have a Pooh one (I dont think) but they had a tweenies one and some other ones that are a train etc. Their cheapest was about £17 but not very big, one in Urchin dearer but bigger.

Thanks so much Joe and Jodee, I had a feeling there wouldn't one in there this time round - don't ask me why - perhaps my psychic tendencies, hmmm!! I will look at the GLTC site, I have never been there before, I've seen the high st. one and was thinking that may have a lot of play value in the future so will check it out. Thanks again...

BTW Jodee, have you ever ordered anything from them before? It's just I've found the perfect present for my little sister on there as well, but was just wondering if you've had any experience of their service - I'd hate for them to be too good to be true!

Fraid not, they were recommended on another site (can't remember which!) but after reading all their blurb they sound OK so I'm going to give them a go.

Yeah Jodee I think they look pretty ok, I hope so anyway as I HAVE TO HAVE THAT TENT
And anyway if they rob my credit card no. it'll be no use to them as its pretty much stretched to the limit, actually may have to beg for extension if Christmas is going to happen at all!!

I was looking through my son's Thomas the Tank comic - as you do - when something lept out at me from the merchandising page - a Thomas the Tank engine pop up tent - a square bit with a tube bit. An ideal combination for a train mad toddler and, had I not already bought him a tent from the ELC, it would have gone straight on my christmas list.

Yeah Tigermoth, if dd was into Thomas I would be thiking of that one myself, there's a Bob the Builder one in the shape of the yellow digger-thing which looks really good as well!
