Anyone else born in the mid 60's and remembers a doll called "Tippy Tumble"?

It could do forward rolls (had a wire leading to a little control panel).

I loved mine so much, more than Tiny Tears which was boring.

wordgirl · 04/12/2005 20:18

I don't think I remember Tippy Tumble but I had an April Showers (as well as the obligatory Tiny Tears).
But the girl next door had a Katie Copycat which I really coveted

Feistybird · 04/12/2005 20:22

early sixties me, but yes, it used to do a gambol - never had one, always wanted one.

interstella · 04/12/2005 20:38

OMG - yes!!! I was born in 1967 - had a TT and a Katy Copycat - how lucky was I? My db broke my TT by making her tumble down the stairs - I got my own back by getting my sis to stamp on his subbuteo players.

I feel so old!

puff · 05/12/2005 18:25

They remind me a lot of that horrid horror film doll , the name of which escapes me, but it caused much controversy a few years ago.

oooh I remember Katie Kopykat - she copied your writing yes? I wanted one but didn't get one.

Another early sixties, and another one who coveted a Tippy Tumbles. I did get a Chatty Cathy though, so mustn't complain

lilibet · 05/12/2005 19:35

I was talking about my Katy Copycat at the Yorks meet up at weekend

WeWhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 05/12/2005 19:40

Ooo I had Chatty Cathy too !!

I still have my Tippy Tumble in her box in my mum's loft. I received it in the 70's as a christmas gift. She has a blue and orange stripy top on with navy blue pants and bib. The console is huge!! I wonder how much they are worth now?
