2nd hand steriliser

I am pregnant with my first baby and am looking at sterilisers.

I have been offered a 2nd hand Tommee Tippee electric steriliser but was wondering if i should buy 2nd hand or not! It supposed to b in really good condition but was wonderng has anybody on here every bought 1 second hand or known anybody that has?

I used a 2nd hand Avent steriliser. Did the job and lasted till Ds was 7/8 months old.
