Ask your mum - does she have any hobbies or interests? Is she into craft type things, nice food, cookery, reading, sport??
If you can find a specific personal interest then you might be closer to finding a gift that she would enjoy and feel is really thoughtful. Good luck

Could the nine yr old make christmas decorations out of hamma beads for her? Send with a lovely wine glass and a bottle; or with a nice mug with hot choc and marshmallows? That way, she gets something a bit indulgent and something personal from the children.
