I know robot toys are expensive, but do they give much play value?
eg Robosapien, Gupi etc?

Mate of mine bouht one for her DS's birthday and said that it was a very "one dimensional toy" As it only did one thing ...

The child has got more enjoyment out of a massive cardboard box (that she received internet orders in )

So far the box has been ....
a shop
a castle
a boat
a racing car
a bed
and a cage .....

Heard only crap things about the dinosaur one. I am struggling to think of a present for nearly 10 year old ds.

I've gone with the robosapien but am tempted by the Gupi
Had a look at the dinosaur but it was so noisy and didn't seem to do much other than roar and walk about - the Robosapien has 67 functions, so hopefully more play value and it had good reviews on Amazon.
