Anybody know anything about mobile phones?

Just got my new phone(orange), put the sim card in and it says no network even though the coverage in my area is good. Cant seem to get a signal anywhere. I need a siganal to phone orange and register my phone. Also havnt got a clue what my number is. Help?

It might not be good in your house - DD1 has to go down the yard to use her 3 phone! Try it in different places. And read your manual!!!

The number will bein the bumf somewhere.

Is it a new phone or second hand? It could be that it's switched to a different network and you need to get it unlocked.
Other than that I don't know - sorry, not much help from here.

Its new, i bought it from orange online, i have e-mailed orange but they hav'nt e-mailed back as they are very busy.

Is it PAYG? They have an 0800 number for registrations - 0800 0790006. Or try 0800 0792000 or 0800 0792222. Just ring any of them and tell them your problem and see what they say.
