It's nearing Christmas and DP and I are panicking as we still have not got anything for DD. We wondered if you wonderful people would have inspiring ideas? The only thing she has requested in "A dora swimming thing" and some more Polly Pocket stuff.

Any ideas please?!!

Then get those. That sounds plenty to me for a three year old. Maybe a book or two as well.
I think it's a marvellous idea not to deluge them with stuff. She will get loads of presents from family I presume?

I am giving DD books (bought from Book People all year)
jigsaws (eg Ravensburger Disney princess one),
games from Orchard Toys
does she already have shopping/pretend play stuff eg play food, kitchen, shopping trolley etc?
My kids love the ELC marble run and I saw the other day it was reduced to £10. Very good play value.
We also love Brio but then I have 2 boys as well.
A big dolly like Baby Annabell (I find it creepy but a lot of people like it)
How much do you want to spend?

DD (3y7m) is getting a new, big doll's pram as her main present from us.

We have a big family and DD is only child/grandchild.neice so she does get a lot I know. But for ideas here are some of the things she is getting:

Doll
Barbie town house
Magic of pegasus barbie doll
Cinderella pumpkin carriage
Polly pocket (wardrobe this was reduce to £10 in JL today)
Sleeping beauty dress
VTech VSmile art centre and Dora game
Leappad books
Happy Land church
Tell the Time watch
Books
Cinderella & The Gruffalo DVDs
Disney Princess songs CD
Styling head thingy
Games - Morrison's versions of Operation and Buckaroo
Craft and art stuff
Beads and string
Jigsaws
...

Actually she probably wont thecattleALOHing as my relatives are pretty useless at getting presents and I expect it will be the same this year so we tend to buy her all the presents we would like to get her and let her open most of them on Christmas Day and then save a few for the coming months when it is a rainy day.
