Hawkins Bazaar is fantastic.I have bought a heap of stuff form there (very unlike me-don't do this sort of stuff as a rule. House is pristine and minimalist.......)

One is a machine that produces an air 'bomb' which you can hit someone with from a distance.I am wetting myself at the prospect of trying it out on inebriated house guests. They will think the house is haunted.

ROFL moondog. Dya think they won't spot the bloody great red gun-like thing you'll be holding when the 'ghost' swoops past?

We love Hawkins. A shop has just opened in Nottingham and DD's Christmas list has 'anything from Hawkins Bazaar' on it. She's spent hours poring over the catalogue since it arrived and DH and I were in hysterics tonight over some things.

BTW, bought my dad the Woodman's Weatherstick years ago - and it does work!

moondog · 02/12/2005 22:27

Sue I love the 'Arse/Face' towel (but it wouldn't go with my tasteful bathroom colour scheme)

Vis a vis seeing the machine...well let me tell you that a celebration chez Moondog involves much fine wine.......

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 03/12/2005 09:32

Shop has just opened in Croydon too. Fabulous Got my puerile eldest brother "rude origami". Which probably isn't suitable for your DD Sue so maybe not anything Hawkins...

Bought myself a little "Mini White Christmas" in a box which comes with a mini spade, a snowman, snowballs, sled and a mini packet of instant snow.

Jbck · 03/12/2005 16:25

The snow looks good, was thinking of getting some. word of warning tho' the airzooka thing is quite noisy & DD who was just turned 3 last Xmas was terrified of it.
