I dropped a complaint in their suggestions box, but I think this is one for us to take on. Is it just our store, or is it everywhere?

lol dunno nbut they will soon get rid of them when kids start swiping them

Marneychristmas · 02/12/2005 16:33

Went to somerfields a few days ago and postman pat pasta shapes were at dd's eye level. didnt think that was aloud?

PranSerahndDancer · 02/12/2005 16:55

so long as they don't have the postman pat shapes on special offer its ok

But seriously, I imagine its everywhere Fisil - its a marketing ploy to make you buy chocolate for your kids as they've already eaten it! I had to smile the other day - a friend of mines kids brought my DS a present - a Mars Bar. He's not a year old yet!

I suggest boycotting Mothercare - not purely for the chocolate ploy, but because it's crap!

Can the evening crowd get as het up as me about this? Or do I need to get out more?

I'd love to boycott Mothercare, but occassionally you just have to!

The Mothercare here often has choccies at the til, it is annoying but its the same where ever you go these days. Now I was pretty PO when the checkout girl at ToyRUs gave my DD a bag of milkybar button the other day

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 02/12/2005 20:13

It's so terrible isn't it?? I have to bend down to reach them FFS! Can't they put them at adult height and be more considerate?

M&S do this too. It's so annoying.

Mothercare really annoy me with their Kinnerton chocolate lollies at child height. They make it worse by being postman pat, fimbles etc. They put them in those silly storage boxes, so twice my dd has tried to swipe one and it has snapped where the chocolate joins the stick. I then feel bad and have to buy it £1 for a little bit of choc on a stick fgs. Makes me really cross. I know I should complain and not buy it, but feel so embarrassed with everyone watching your dd damage it (albeit accidentaly).

Grrrr

gloriainexcHELSIsdeo · 03/12/2005 20:26

Are you seriously thinking of boycotting a shop because they have sweets at the height of little fingers?

Why not just say "no" to your child and take them away if they grab at them if you don't want them to have them?

PranSerahndDancer · 03/12/2005 20:32

no - because its crap!

gloriainexcHELSIsdeo · 03/12/2005 20:34

yes and once again just take them off the child if they get them and say no! - simple.

my dd loves chocolate!

Blandmum · 03/12/2005 20:40

But are they breast milk subsitute chocolates???

PranSerahndDancer · 03/12/2005 21:40

lol Martianbishop

Helsi - I mean Mothercare is crap - not the chocolate thing!!
