Lego Pirate Ship...

Following on from my search for the cheapest Lego Vikings "ship with sea serpent" for DS1, I went to Toys R Us to get this and the Lego Pirate ship required by DS2. It was £50! . I assumed it was a similar orice (£40 not discounted) to the Vikings one.

Needless to say, I didn't get it. However, I've failed to find it with any sort of discount online or another equivalent other than used from Ebay. In fact, it seems to be hard to get from anywhere.

Any ideas?

I saw it here in Munich today for 50 euros.

i just got the lego viking ship at toys ru s today for £24.99. i brought two accessory packs for it to total £40 and got a large bucket of duplo for ds2 (or lego if you wanted) for free!

Yes, I had seen the Toys r Us offer but couldn't use it to justify the extortionate proce of the pirate ship so would still need to find that. Might have to rethink this one.

i have now finished apart from one present, just have to hope that powerplaydirect come through with ds1's nintendogs game (he didn't want this when i asked him about 6 weeks ago, when the country was flooded with them, now all his friends are getting it he wants it and it is sold out everywhere. he only wants the game as he already has a ds!)

Beats last year when DS1 changed his mind over what Hot Wheels set he wanted. Aaaagh!

Lizs link was the cheapest I found online. It may be worth looking in your local Woolworths though, just in case they were reduced to start with, not just because of the box
