Lakeland Mincer - Anyone got one? Any good?

this one

Just wondering how easy it is to use, how well it minces, and how much hassle it is to clean - specifically can you put all the bits into a dishwasher?

Trying to decide whether to ask for it for Christmas or not. Def want one that doesn't take up much room, and this looks fairly small.

I havnt got that one, but when we were little (ie about 25 years ago) i know we had one that looked completly identical and my mummy loved it!

Do be careful tho, when my sis was 2 she was playing with it and put her finger in it and minced it (only the tinest bit) and it got all infected etc!

I expect they have more saftey features now tho than 25 years ago, but dont let any little fingers play with it! (unlike my mummy!)

You may have been lucky with yours conundrum but my Mum was moaning just the other day about how rubbish her one was .... I was thinking about getting one and she put me off.

Roobie - did she say what she didn't like about it? Does it not mince well, or is it the cleaning or some other aspect that annoys her?

I think it was something to do with the actual mincing action
