best mp3 player?

thinking of getting dh one for christmas...

how much MB should i go for or whathever... how many songs should i be able to fit on it... e.g. 3 MB will fit 100 songs.. (this is a complete nonsense guess as i haven't got a flippin' clue!!!)

looking for the type which can plug into your usb port...

does this make sense???

i have a MOS one for about 60quid i think. it can plug into USB and is very easy to use. my kids keep pinching it. peter has a similar one, but is slimmer.

hmmm i did think about the shuffle, but it hasn't got a screen... somehow i think it's quite nice to see what you are flicking through... i've already got an i-pod.. so this is just my ploy to stop him putting his music onto my i-pod!!!!
