Can anyone recommend a soft cuddly doll?

DD has developed an attachement to one of her dolls, which is a very old falling apart soft bodied but hard limbed creature.
She now wants to cuddle dolly at bedtime but keeps laying on it and hurting herself.
I'd like to get hr something fairly traditional, life like ish so that she can dress her etc.
I'm not good at this . I'm tomboy the other doll only got here because she stole it from her grandmas house
I'm out of my depth - rag dolls are not good as too floppy...
Eeeks
Help me!

DD has got a sleeping baby born/baby chou chou (or something like that) - but it still has hard limbs, so probably not much help

mailorderexpress have reduced Maggies Raggies atm. dd has several including the large one which sings - aargh ! Clothes are removable. They also do Rosie and Jim ragdolls from the tv series. Otherwise I think some of the Baby Chou Chous are soft bodied or the Corolle dolls might fit the bill.
