teething granules

Is there any difference between the different makes of teething granules, ie Nelsons, Boots own brand, Ashton and Parsons etc?

Or are they all pretty much the same thing?

TIA

so far as i am aware they are all chamomilla homepathic remedy. (certainly boots and nelsons).

you can also buy chamomilla in tablet form - crush them between 2 spoons (plastic, never metal), works out cheaper thouch obvioiusly sachets are more portable.

thanks mazzystar. why must it be plastic spoons?

homeopathic remedies are very sensitive, and metal can "taint" them. its also best to try not to touch the tablets with your fingers for that reason.

I know that A&S has lactose in them which is why I couldn't use them for dc.

We used Boots own.

thanks crossedfingers. I've got the Boots ones just now too.

Am looking to try some with my 7m old ds. Do any make a difference?

BadHair · 02/12/2005 22:41

I used Nelsons and Boots with both dses and they definitely made a difference. Nelsons were the best but the Boots ones were OK when the others ran out.

Found that both Nelsons and Boots worked with our two.
