do i wait til sales to buy digi camera and printer?

I am buying a digi camera and printer as a joint xmas and b'day pres for my dad who will be 80 on jan 4th. I thought i'd get him a token pressie to open on xmas day and give him the big pres on his b'day. There are some good offers on the kodak camera and printing port in argos and boots at the moment (just under £150).

is it worth buying now to take advantage on the opffer or do you think it will be even more reduced after xmas in the sales? the only thing that worries me about waiting is that there might be no stock left after xmas.

it is a gamble, I dont think there is any way of being sure. But it will probably be a very popular present this Christmas, so I would have thought there would be a lot in the shops.
Have you had a look on the internet to compare prices and models? (eg what has Amazon got)Also, it may be worth googling around some brand names, to read some customer feedback sites.
