There's also stuff you can buy in hardware shops, and presumably online too, which is a spray-on frosting treatment. there's a knack to getting even coverage but it's very cheap. Sorry can't remember the name, but i think there are several on the market anyway.

Brume is fantastic if you want something a bit lovely and personal.
