Chocolate sauce

Got a dinner to go to on Sat night and DH has arranged for us to bring the pudding.

I'm going for the assembly job rather than making something (too tired - full week at work etc)

Any recommendations for a really good rich chocolate or toffee sauce to go with profiteroles (am planing to assemble before we go to dinner so it looks er.. homemade )

Is there a specific brand Cupcakes? and can I get it at Tesco's or M&S?

You can make a very nice chocolate sauce by chopping up three Mars bars, adding a little milk, and melting it in the microwave.

I think it's just the name given for this particular milk based argentinian pot of sweetness. It's very caramelly but I think may come in a chocolate flavour. You can get it at Sainsburys and I would be very surprised if you couldn't get it at M&S.

waswondering - that sounds absolutely de-lish..........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (dreamy sigh)

Waswondering - that sounds do-able (even for me!) - now if I take it over in a jug, would I be able to put in the microwave for a bit to re-heat it before serving?

Thanks for that great recipe!

the melted mars recipe is fantasric - and probably better for your needs than the dulce which might be too thick.

I made this sauce last Saturday and it was FAB! Lots of wonderful compliments that I was tempted to pass the profiteroles as homemade too but honesty prevailed...

Thanks!
