My Norton subscription is about to expire, I don't know whether to just renew, or look at an alternative.

I'm considering PC-Cillin, anyone use it?

i use norton as well and i think its great

i just got norton 2006

Easy · 24/11/2005 13:07

Thats another option NannyL. I could just renew my 2004 anti-virus subscription (which of course includes cover for new viruses as they come along, or upgrade to 2006 internet security.

I've upgraded to Norton 2006, but I get a reminder EVERY bloody day telling me to renew my old Norton package and I don't know how to get rid of it! Help anyone?

Oh it's great though - sorry for the hijack

GeorginaA · 24/11/2005 13:23

AVG - it's free and works a lot better than many of the pay for ones.

Easy · 24/11/2005 13:44

Thanks! Just a quick question - do you know whether Norton AntiVirus is a different programme completely to Norton Internet Security? or because the AntiVirus is a 2005 programme does it replace the 2003 Internet Security one?

having a thick day today!

Lucycat · 24/11/2005 14:32

Ok dilemma solved my using a brain cell and comparing the 2 on the renewal page! Thanks for your help Easy.

Easy · 24/11/2005 14:48

Munz.

I'm so pleased you manage to screw the software company so effectively. My dh (who is a software developer) will be thrilled too (NOT).

BTW I should check carefully that the product is actually updating. I suspect it won't be.

easy think u should take it easy, there's no need ot be so bitchy. we pay for every other peice of softwear we have.

Easy · 24/11/2005 15:11

oh thats all right then munz. Just as it would be if I said "I only go shoplifting once a year"

Odd moral line that.

I bought Norton Internet Security 2006 from PC World, reserved on line and picked up in store for £29.99 instead of £59.99. Had been using others but got viruses and spent £30 getting rid of them so thought best to spend out now.
