Thinking of getting this and wondered if you could play a video and then tape it onto Sky plus through the tv?

Don't think so, no. Will ask DH - he will know I expect. Can transfer other way though.

my charges ahve sky+ and its great..... you go through the Tv guide and click in all the programmes u want to watch and it records them.

Bummer- have a lot of kids videos and want to get rid of my recorder when we get sky +- trying to think of a way round this apart from paying oodles of ££ for someone to convert them to dvd for me.

DVD recorders now relatively cheap but don't know how much it costs to get someone to do it for you.

Fair enough - sky+ is way better, but DVD rec has it's uses in addition. Our Sky+ was one of the first lot so smaller hard drive than the ones out now, I think.

sky+ has limited memory so i dont thik you d want loads of videos on there, otherwose no room to record anymore

sky+ is the best. it's a gift from the gods.

We have Sky but are in Budapest and shouldn't have it here. Anyone how how if we can upgrade to Sky + sneakily?? We do pay full subscription through an Irish address!

Or could we get UK Freeview - would be willing to pay TV licence of course!
