Hi,

wondered what others thought here. Have you got one and it is any good. I do like coffee, tea, hot choc but wondered about risking it with something I haven't tasted before as its not a cheap machine if you don't like their coffee?

What do others think.

Is it a pod machine? Does it froth milk? If so what sort of power does it kick out?

Carameli, sounds like something similar to a pod machine have a look at CoffeeGeek Reviews of Pod Machines , I can't find anything on the Tassimo but the Nespresso and Senseo machines have had a good write up, if you have a little more cash to spend this , looks good and scores well and this is the baby version of my DH's machine and according to CoffeeGeek takes pods as well (although you would be best to check this out).

FWIW, we started out by buying a small Krupps machine and couldn't get anything resembling a decent coffee out of it, it just didn't have the boiler pressure, it didn't froth the milk properly either, just not powerful enough so would have been useless for hot chocolate too. DH ended up buying a secondhand Bezzera coffee machine, the results were fantastic but then the problems of getting the beans and the grind right came in, DH decided to go down the route of buying his own grinder and now roasts his own beans but a good way to get round this seems to be the pod machines they are well respected (and will do hot choccy too). DH being DH sold the Bezzera and splashed out on the big Elektra but that's taking things too far!

Hope this isn't too confusing but remember how frustrated we were when we couldn't get our first machine to work.

I'm also not saying don't buy the Tassimo, don't suppose there would be any harm in joining CoffeeGeek and asking there?

thanks ever so much Mrs Spoon, what you have said is really helpful.
I will certainly look into that website.
