Ford Mondeo vs Citroen C4 Picasso or other???

Right... Need advice and help!

Needs:

Space in the back for 2 car seats and an occasional adult. Plenty of leg room in front due to large rearfacing car seat.

I hadn't considered a Mondeo until today, but they are big inside.

Mondeo feels bigger inside...even though C4 looks massive

3 full size back seats in C4 massive bonus... Mondeo middle seat wide, but not as comfortable

Higher driving position in C4 - like this.

Boot seems much bigger in Mondeo although lower roof.

With rearfacing seat, Mondeo seems to have more room in the front.

Which will last longer term??

Budget is about £12000. My head is spinning. The C-max doesn't feel much bigger than the Focus we have, can't afford the S-max. Not sure about estate as width more important than length.

Shop around and get an S-Max if you can. All 3 rear seats are the same size, boot is massive. I had a Mondeo estate, which was fab, but I couldn't comfortably get 3 car seats/2 seats plus adult in the back.

S-maxes only seem to come as cheap, but old (would rather have some warranty to get over the initial expense period) or 1 year old and expensive (nothing under £15000 - we were looking more at the £11000/ £12000 bracket) - so near, yet so far...
