hellsbellsdownunder · 17/11/2005 21:46

I was a down-trodden mousey mum. Now I'm sleak.

starandsnowshaker · 17/11/2005 21:53

thats my reason. i have a pair but hardly use them as they take so long to heat up and need to do it a few times and dont really have the time. also will make a point of using them more as they cost so much

Absolutely GHDs are simpley worth every single penny....

I love mine and if (god forbid) they broke id get a new pair the next day.
Mine are the thick ones for thick hair.... they retail for about £100 i think, but i got em for about £80 (inc P&P) online!

laughinglil · 18/11/2005 09:20

star -how comes they take so long to heat up ? they should only take about 10 seconds.

AlmostAChristmasAngel · 18/11/2005 09:23

where did you get pink ones!!!i want!!

jmb1964 · 18/11/2005 11:08

[baffled emoticon]
Someone please tell us what these things ARE??

teresa1 · 18/11/2005 11:52

GHDs are the best hairstraightners around would not be without mine well worth every penny.

puff · 18/11/2005 11:53

but my hair is very short now, so I don't need them

magnolia1 · 18/11/2005 13:26

Ghd's are just ceramic hair straighteners maid by 'good hair day' company. No better than the ceramics I have!!

My sister has ghd's and we both used each others. No bloody difference and mine were £30!!

magnolia1 · 18/11/2005 13:27

OOh can't spell
maid= made!!

jmb1964 · 18/11/2005 13:58

Thank you! [emerging relieved from confusion emoticon]

£115! Thank god I have straight hair already .

starandsnowshaker · 18/11/2005 18:51

ghds heat up to 210 deg in 7 secs mine (old ones) are just crap lol the pink ones are for breast cancer so some of the money goes to that. i got them on ebay

OP posts:
vickiyumyum · 18/11/2005 19:19

ghd's are fantastic, i brought them after having got really fed up with my cceramic pair that took ages to heat up and you had to go over and over the same section to get it as straight as the ghd's do in one go.

i think that it doesn't matter too much what brand you have if your hair is wavy or straight with a bit of a kink, but if really curly like mine then ghd's are the best thing ever. (my curls aren't nice curls iyswim it takes just as long to get them nice as it does to blow dry and straighten it)

i really want the pink ones but as i already have the black ones can't justify buying them just to match my bedroom.
