Dolls House / Castle for my 5 year old dd

Oh great shopping experts, can you help me please? I would like to buy my dd a nice dolls house (of the wooden 1/12 variety) but dh says she would prefer a castle. He's probably right, as at the moment she is very princess orientated, but the only castles I have seen look like they have fairly limited play capacity (like the ELC one here ) The only dolls house type castle I have seen costs £300 here ), which is a little over what I was thinking of spending! Has anyone come across anything that you think I might like (let's face it, it's me I'm thinking of really - I just want to unpack my dolls house goodies for her from when I was little)

there are loads of new dolls houses on ebay including that one "preston manor" you linked to. they're often about half the price in the official toy catalogues, but they're mostly brand new.

I've seen wooden castle dolls houses on there lately.

i need one (or two) with balcony, conservatory, gables and cellar. the dds and dp all like twiddly bits on houses.

here I've bought a dolls house from them before - they are very helpful!

Wow, thanks everyone! I will pursue your leads. I think the only trouble is that I loved my dolls house as a child, and want to buy dd a fantastic one, but I'm not sure how much she will play with it still, as she often asks me to play with her, perhaps that won't be a problem! Unfortunatly the dolls house I played with as a child is now too fragile to play with.

Oh, and it was the Cumberland Castle with East Wing Extension (right at the bottom of the page on that link) that I liked most - if I can find that or something similar on ebay, I will be very happy (although it looks huge!)
