The free Pride & Prejudice is annoyingly typeset, though. Full caps instead of italics, making emphasised speech look kind of absurd.

Not that I'm bitter about not having one, or anything.

You can download free e-books from torrents as well if you're handy with that sort of thing! But be sure you are careful, most books will have copyrights still valid, but I managed to get a huge load of copyright-free books (including many many classics!) from torrent sites, many bunch them together too! :)

and am now struggling a bit with 'grace williams says it loud' emma henderson. not really enjoyig it but might be picking up a bit...

also the paper and periodicals. granta tell me they're working on subcription but individual editions are downloadable (but not cheap i think).
