Tchibo sledge!!!! Bring on the snow!!

Dh has been drooling over wooden sledges practically since dd was born but as we rarely get proper snow here on the south coast I've resisted. We couldn't really afford to lose the space it would take up (I know, mean mummy!).

I've just ordered a fab one from Tchibo that folds up. (Well at least I hope it's going to be fab). It's going to be a joint christmas pressie for dd and ds so the weather men had better be right.

I'm just going to have my first go at a link but I haven't really got a clue what I'm doing so we'll see! here

I saw this and was tempted too, but as we're moving to the soth coast (where are you pixel?) I thought it would never get used.

I've missed theweather reports, what have they said for this winter?

SoupDragon · 13/11/2005 09:16

I'm SO tempted by that sledge I must say.

NannyL · 13/11/2005 09:26

LadyTopham hat you are probably right....

i live on the south ciast and the last time we had enough snow for a sledge must have 20 years ago now (based on photos of me and my sis lol)

we have a had a few deep sprinkels thats lasts for a few hours but no more than that!

Well we woke to frozen cars this morning and everything is nice and sparkly in the forst. DD was thrilled Jack Forst had been

seb1 · 13/11/2005 10:24

LTH, I'm in Portslade, which is just west of Hove. I keep on reading weather forecasts that say we are in for a big freeze, especially in the south. There are certainly a lot of berries about which is supposed to be a sign.

Last year we lived right on the seafront in Hove but we moved up here on to the downs in January and did actually get a few light snowfalls, so you never know.

Also, this house backs right on to the hill where I used to go sledging as a child [glee emoticon]!!

pixel, hi thanx for your offer!!!! looking out the window now - i think it's better to get a boat

seb1 · 22/11/2005 11:54

pixel, will your sledge be here by the weekend

pixel · 22/11/2005 12:13

The sledge arrived Saturday. I have to say it looks great. It's supposed to be a joint Christmas pressie for dd and ds but now I'm a bit torn. What if it snows all the way up to Christmas and then not at all after? I'll feel really mean if it's been hidden away and they could have used it. On the other hand it will look totally fab under the tree on Christmas morning. Oh what to do?.....
