Can someone recommend a good iron please?!

Our iron is terrible. No matter what you do with it it just seems to get stuff burnt onto the bottom which is impossible to clean of, yet spreads itself alover what you try to iron next and then wont come of the clothes. We need a new one, any one got a recomendation. Ideally need something fairly light, or at least not weighing a tonne as I have a rubbish wrist.

I have just had to replace my Tefal iron of 8 years, which has been dropped many times, I bought this one from Amazon free postage, excellent price, ( £42 in Argos and Tesco!) as I checked them all out, and more to the point, love it! It is light and takes a good amount of water for steaming
