Looking for a new reasonably priced tumble dryer - any advice?

I am in desperate need of a new vented tumble dryer. My old one has finally gone to tumble dryer heaven and it has left me well and truely knee deep in wet washing! I can't afford to pay a lot with Christams round the corner.

I have looked on Curry's and Comet's websites but was wondering if any of you know of anywhere I could get one cheaper.

Thanks xxx

There was a tumble drier thread just the other day, think it was Caligula's, I put all the recent Which recommendations on it - hang on, will look for it and link.

White Knight are normally pretty cheap. Ours was about £120. Try Comet clearance for an end of line model.

Jan!
What a surprise......

Go into one of those sheds ch,and tell them you want the cheapest thing they've got with four switches.
On
Off
Hot
Not so hot

That's what I did (think these places really are the cheapest) and was in and out in 10 mins.
Life really is too short to ponder unduly on tumble dryers.

here you go!

The cheapest vented ones they recommend are 2 Whirlpools from Miller Brothers (never heard of them!)or Currys.

I have a basic Creda one, a few years old, it's OK but has a tiny opening.

moondog, I am going to start leaving a tripwire behind me

Mine is just as you describe but the sodding rubber seal is always pulling off so simple ain't necessarily best!

Miller Bros are based in Doncaster.
Very reliable firm, always mats Curry's or Comet locally.
They are buggers for trying to sell you unwanted extemded warranties though. JUST SAY NO is my motto.

match, I meant match - as in prices
